Declaration

You must read and agree to the following declaration. You must be able to comply with all points of our acceptance criteria for us to consider your risk. If you cannot meet the acceptance criteria you should not proceed further as we will not be able to assist.

Statement of demands and needs: This product meets the demands and needs of those who wish to protect their holiday home from a range of perils which are listed in the policy wording.

Who may complete this application? i) The legal owner of the premises.
ii) You are in the process of purchasing a premises and will become the legal owner within 30 days.

Our holiday home insurance provides cover for full-time residents of the UK who own a second home in the UK which is either for personal/family/friends use or is commercially let purely on a holiday home rental basis.

We do not provide cover for: Serviced apartments, corporate lets, property let to workers, stag or hen parties, property used for weddings, property let on a long-term basis or property with any other business use other than holiday home usage.

Additionally, we do not provide cover for multi property developments or holiday parks.

If the premises is let via Airbnb, Booking.com or other such platforms you must ensure letting of the premises is purely on a holiday basis. If your letting platform cannot guarantee such usage i.e. may be let to workers, you should not proceed further as our policy is not suitable for your needs.

Non-disclosure or incorrectly obtained cover may lead to your policy being deemed invalid.

  You must be able to agree to all points of the criteria listed below. If you cannot agree to each point, you must not proceed further as we cannot assist in providing cover for your premises.

Claims Disclosure

Insurers pass information to the Claims and Underwriting Exchange register, run by Insurance Database Services Ltd (IDSL). The aim is to help us to check the information provided and also to prevent fraudulent claims. When we deal with your request for insurance, we may search the register. When you tell us about an incident (such as a fire, water damage or theft) which may or may not give rise to a claim, we will pass information relating to it to the register. The proposal and the information provided in connection therewith contains statements upon which Underwriters will rely in deciding to accept this Insurance.
